In certain situations when a child or children are not living in a two-parent home, the court system may order alternative custody arrangements in the form of Supervised Visitation or Monitored Exchanges.

Supervised Visitation allows a parent to visit the child, but only when someone can supervise or observe the visit.

Monitored Exchange is the act of monitoring or observing the exchange between a custodial parent and a non-custodial parent at the beginning and ending of a visit.

In the context of monitored child exchanges, one parent transfers custody of the child to the other parent based on their custody or visitation arrangement. Trained monitors supervise these exchanges inside our center, documenting aspects such as the timing, the child’s emotional well-being, any issues raised by the parents and any remarks exchanged during the transfer. This process ensures transparency and accountability during custody transitions.
